Service Description

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe forehead lines, crow’s feet lines, and frown lines between the eyebrows in adults. How Botox Works Botox works by blocking the nerve signals to the muscles in which it is injected. When the nerve signals are interrupted, the muscle cannot contract. This lack of muscle movement leads to a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles and lines in the treated areas. The effects of Botox are temporary, typically lasting between 3 to 6 months, after which the muscle activity gradually returns and wrinkles may reappear, requiring repeat treatments to maintain the results. Common Treatment Areas Botox is most commonly used to treat: Forehead lines: Horizontal lines that appear when raising the eyebrows. Frown lines: Vertical lines between the eyebrows (also known as "11 lines"). Crow's feet: Lines around the outer corners of the eyes that appear when smiling. Procedure The Botox procedure is relatively quick and straightforward, usually taking about 10 to 15 minutes. It involves the following steps: Consultation: Discuss with a qualified healthcare provider to determine if Botox is appropriate for you and to identify the areas to be treated. Preparation: The skin may be cleaned, and a topical anesthetic might be applied to reduce discomfort. Injection: A fine needle is used to inject small amounts of Botox into the targeted muscles. Post-treatment care: Patients are advised to avoid rubbing the treated areas and to stay upright for several hours post-treatment to prevent the Botox from spreading to unintended areas. Benefits Minimal downtime: Most people can return to their normal activities immediately after treatment.
